At the previous inspection we found that the service did not have enough staff. Wards 11, 12 and 14 (First floor) Wards 21, 22, 23 (Ophthalmology) . They (A&E) were efficient , prioritised and caring, admitted to ward 34 assessment, who again all nursing staff, and doctors were very caring and supportive to everyone. We couldn't visit during 2.30pm and 4pm as we couldn't get any transport, so we contacted the hospital asking if we could visit at 12 for 30 minutes and the staff at the reception were unreal. The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) offers confidential advice, support and information on health-related matters, for patients, their families and their carers. This ward specialises in ear, nose and throat, general surgery and ophthalmology services for children.
